Call for entries – November 2020

October’s theme is: Gollum & Gratitude

In anticipation of our November content, the essay question is:

Reflect on your favorite “Gollum scene” in Tolkien’s books.

Briefly and creatively retell the scene in your own words, placing yourself in the story.

Then share what most disturbs you AND delights you about Gollum.

With his crafting of Gollum’s character, what do you think might have been Tolkien’s aim for his readers?

We look forward to reading and sharing your essays with the Eucatastrophe fellowship!

Please respond in 500 words or less by November 5.
