I have been a Hobbit, LOTR, JJR Tolkien fan since I was thirteen.
My favourite quote is, “I will not say do not weep; for not all tears are an evil”.

I hope to introduce my grandchildren to The Hobbit and LOTR”. In a few years.

That is one of my favorite quotations as well. I’m looking forward to introducing my grandchildren one day to The Hobbit and LotR too.

Are you aware that we (at Eucatastrophe.com) are also hosting a Tolkien conference? http://www.CelebrateTolkien.com We’d love to have you join us.

Its too long for one tweet, but I always liked this one:

“They had begun to forget: forget their own beginnings and legends, forget what little they had known about the greatness of the world.
It was not yet gone, but it was getting buried: the memory of the high and the perilous. But you cannot teach that sort of thing to a whole people quickly.”

    – Unfinished Tales of Numenor
